About Hannah
I am a professional ballerina and on a path towards neural engineering. I have a deep appreciation for learning and genuinely enjoy spending time on any subject. I have been challenged by many courses throughout high school, college, and now furthering my education. I have felt defeated, questioned my intellect, and suffered from imposter syndrome in many a classroom. However, I know that with the right approach, help tailored to my own needs, and a willingness to fail and try again, there is absolutely a way through. Education is not supposed to be without challenge-- but I do think that reminding ourselves of the aspects of learning that we do love, it can aid us towards deeper comprehension and appreciation of the content and its grander meaning as we navigate as human beings.

I believe learning is unique to each student and I base my approach on how you feel most comfortable exploring subjects, whether it be more visual, auditory, physical, etc. I hope to cultivate an environment of curiosity instead of intensity. Typically, I like to peruse the content with the student, assess your understanding of general themes, highlight the areas that feel more confusing, and then create a structure together that utilizes your personal learning tactics to work towards a deeper comprehension of the subject matter outside of what is oftentimes a limiting scope of current education system. As a neurodivergent individual, I truly understand the challenges of the structure of education for brains that experience and learn in vastly different capacities than the normative baseline the system was built for. I believe there is a balance to be found between intellectual stimulation and creative exploration that is not exclusively attached to any subject.
