I used to teach French to native English- and Russian-speaking children (during my studies). I typically followed the traditional French primary school curriculum to structure my lessons, and then designed activities to practice speaking. I gave small, playful homework assignments (games, quests, recipes, etc.) to encourage daily practice in French. I can also plan activities focused on discussing specific topics.
