About Gillan
I’m a graduate of Exeter Business School with a 2:1 in Business BSc and achieved D*D*D in BTEC Business at college. Having been through the exact same course as many of my students, I know what it takes to reach top grades — from mastering the content to developing strong exam and coursework techniques. My lessons are clear, focused, and tailored to you. I break topics into simple, manageable steps, use real business examples to make concepts stick, and share proven essay structures that help you meet the marking criteria. We’ll work together to build your understanding, confidence, and ability to perform under exam or assignment conditions. Most sessions are one hour long, with the option to extend for exam preparation or coursework deadlines. I provide constructive feedback throughout so you can see your progress and know exactly how to improve. I specialise in tutoring BTEC Business Level 3 students (aged 16+), whether you’re aiming for a Distinction or just want to boost your confidence in the subject. My aim is to make sure you not only achieve your target grade but also develop skills you can use beyond the classroom.

I like to keep my lessons practical and straightforward. We’ll break topics down into small, manageable chunks so they’re easy to understand, and I’ll show you how to apply them in coursework or exams. I also share the exact essay structures and study methods that helped me get top grades in my own BTEC Business and at university. How I Teach We’ll start by figuring out where you feel confident and where you might need a bit more support. I use real-life business examples so the theory actually makes sense. I’ll give you simple frameworks for essays and assignments so you can hit the criteria without overcomplicating things. You’ll get plenty of feedback along the way, so you know exactly how to improve. Lesson Length Most lessons are around an hour, but if we need extra time before deadlines or exams, we can make them longer. About Me I graduated from Exeter Business School with a 2:1 in Business BSc and achieved D*D*D in BTEC Business, so I know exactly what it takes to get the top grades.
