About Serena
I consider myself a patient person able to empathize with what the students feel. When and where needed, I always adjust my teaching methods to promote learning in the best possible way. A good teacher has to be well prepared in the subject, but beyond that, I think a good teacher has to be kind, caring and empathic. A good teacher respects each person’s ideas and opinions and is able to create a welcoming learning environment for all students.

I teach and facilitate my students in the process of learning a difficult language such as Chinese. I provide them authentic materials, language and cultural contents, tips and suggestions to enjoy what they are studying. I think that Student-Centered Approach is very effective as the students assume a much more active role in the learning process.
