About Sam
I am a recent college undergraduate where I studied English and am now looking to pursue a master's in education. I have spent the last 4 years taking classes focused around argumentative essay writing and have spent my working life as an educator for both English and diversity education. My philosophy on education is about positive reinforcement, patience, and flexibility. We all have the capability to learn a lot, but sometimes the structure of our classes or the way we personally operate does not fit in well with a traditional classroom environment. With my tutoring, I hope to meet students where they are and adjust to their needs, not bend them to the needs of the curriculum.

- Sessions involve one on one communication to work with you on your essay from how to craft a thesis through proper MLA citation. This could involve a specific assignment currently being worked on, or general advice when approaching essay writing.
- As the recipient of James Madison University's award for critical thinking and analysis in English and "Best Educator" award from James Madison University's diversity education program, I have extensive knowledge on how to craft a quality essay while also having the educational skills needed to create an anxiety free, collaborative environment where the focus is just on ensuring you become the best writer you can be.
