About OMAR

Hello everyone! My name is OMAR LUGYA MOHAMED, and I’m thrilled to be your physics and mathematics teacher this year. I want to take a moment to introduce myself and share a little about who I am, why I’m passionate about teaching, and what I hope to bring to our classroom. # Who I Am I’ve always been fascinated by the way the world works—how numbers and equations can describe everything from the motion of planets to the behavior of atoms, and how physics helps us understand the fundamental laws of nature. Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading science fiction, hiking, playing chess, and tinkering with electronics. These hobbies often inspire me to find creative ways to connect what we learn in class to real-world applications. # Why I Teach I became a teacher because I believe that physics and mathematics are not just subjects—they are ways of thinking that empower us to understand and shape the world around us. I want to help you see the beauty and logic in these disciplines, even when they feel challenging. My goal is to make these subjects accessible, engaging, and, most importantly, meaningful to you. I also teach because I love seeing that "aha!" moment when a concept clicks, or when you solve a problem you thought was impossible. There’s nothing more rewarding than watching students grow in confidence and curiosity, and I’m here to support you every step of the way. # What I Bring to the Classroom 1. **Passion for Learning**: I’m not just here to teach—I’m here to learn with you. I’m constantly exploring new ways to explain concepts and make our lessons more interactive and fun. 2. **Patience and Support**: I know that physics and math can be tough, and I’m here to help you through the challenges. No question is too small, and no problem is too big to tackle together. 3. **Real-World Connections**: I’ll always try to show you how what we’re learning applies to the real world, whether it’s designing a bridge, understanding how your phone works, or even exploring the mysteries of the universe. 4. **A Safe Space to Grow**: My classroom is a place where mistakes are welcome because that’s how we learn. I want you to feel comfortable asking questions, sharing ideas, and taking risks. # My Hopes for You My ultimate goal is to help you see that physics and math are not just subjects to study but tools to unlock your potential. Whether you pursue a career in STEM or not, the problem-solving skills, logical thinking, and curiosity you develop in this class will serve you well in life. I hope to inspire you to ask big questions, think critically, and never stop exploring. I’m so excited to be on this journey with you this year. Let’s work together to make this a fun, challenging, and rewarding experience. Welcome to the class—let’s get started!
