About Amelia
Hi, I’m Amelia—a dedicated and compassionate tutor with a strong foundation in the Physical Therapist Assistant field. I hold an Associate of Applied Science degree in PTA from MCCKC, and I’ve been working in the field for over a year, primarily in outpatient private healthcare and workers' compensation settings. I also have valuable experience in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities, giving me a well-rounded perspective on the diverse demands of the profession. I know firsthand how overwhelming the PTA program can feel, especially when juggling anatomy, patient care, and clinical reasoning. That’s why I bring patience, encouragement, and structure to every lesson. I aim to create a supportive learning environment where no question is too small and no concept is too complex to tackle together. Students can count on me for reliable, up-to-date guidance, organized study plans, and practical tips that reflect the realities of clinical work. Whether you're preparing for your boards or looking to strengthen your hands-on knowledge, I’m committed to helping you reach your goals with confidence and clarity.

As a tutor for aspiring Physical Therapist Assistants, my goal is to break down complex concepts into clear, relatable lessons that build both confidence and competence. I aim to bridge classroom theory with real-world application, helping students truly understand the why behind what they do—not just memorize for exams.
My teaching style is interactive and adaptive. I use a mix of visual aids, case studies, active recall techniques, and hands-on examples to reinforce learning. I focus heavily on critical thinking, clinical reasoning, and preparing students for both the NPTE-PTA and clinical rotations. Every lesson is student-centered, so I adjust my approach based on your learning style—whether you're a visual learner, love repetition, or need to talk things through.
I’m not just here to help you pass—I’m here to help you excel. As someone who’s been through the PTA journey, I understand where students often struggle and where they shine. My sessions are built with empathy, encouragement, and accountability. I also emphasize professionalism, documentation tips, and patient communication—skills that matter beyond the test.
My lessons are best suited for PTA students at any stage of their program—whether you’re just starting out, preparing for the boards, or navigating your clinicals. If you're looking for support in anatomy, kinesiology, modalities, therapeutic exercises, or documentation, I’ve got you covered.
