About Isabel
Isabel Waitz is an architectural designer whose interests lie at the intersection of architecture and dance. The study andchoreography of movement through space is a theme present throughout her work, and she is most recently the project lead for adance research project at MIT.Nano's Immersion Lab. Isabel is originally from Newton, MA, and is currently an undergraduate seniorin the architecture department at MIT with a concentration in urban planning. Her work for Azra Askamija's Co-Mask project hasbeen displayed in the United Nations Pavillion at the 2021 Venice Biennale of Architecture, as well as in the Keller Gallery. She hasalso co-designed and fabricated a CNC-constructed shelter for the Ikea H22 Festival in Helsingborg, Sweden, and is a 2022Burchard Scholar.
