About Sophie
From a young age I have had a passion for writing and though my degree is not writing specific I chose to primarily take writing intensive courses in college to further develop my skills. As an outdoor educator I have had the opportunity to do my fair share of writing in a professional sense from lesson plans, to program development, to research papers, and beyond. With a degree in education I am well versed in a variety of teaching and learning styles and would love to work with you to find the best way to help you grow!

As an outdoor educator, I am well versed in both formal and informal teaching methods. The standard approach of teaching in most schools does not work well for the majority of students. I believe in finding creative ways to make content more interesting and engaging so students are able to actually grow their skills and develop as writers instead of resenting every essay they are forced to squeeze out.
I am experienced working with a range of ages from preschool through college. My primary writing skills are in essays and research papers, but I have experience with creative writing and literary analysis as well.
Whether you are looking for some help with basic proofreading or you need assistance in developing any writing skills at all, I am happy to work with you and learn with you as we take your skills to the next level.
