About Lydon
I have 3 years of formal tutoring experience altogether (two years GED tutoring, 1 year of math tutoring while in college) but what's perhaps more important is that I have personal experience with underserved communities and came from one myself. I grew up in an underfunded school district in Ohio and realized one day that I was unsatisfied with my education- so I set out to educate myself. I formally dropped out of high school and am now pursuing an MA in physics in Spain. I could not have made it this far without navigating academic resources and making my own study plans- and while doing this, I fell in love with mathematics, physics, writing, and astronomy. I hope in the near future to work with NGOs providing educational opportunities to people around the globe.

I like to establish my lesson plans according to the needs of the individual students so I can meet them wherever they're at and according to their needs. Some students might need help untangling a new difficult concept while others may be feeling completely lost, and others yet might need to focus on test strategies. Once we've established what's needed, I like to organize a syllabus and gather resources to work with.
