About Nicholas
I have always loved to teach since I worked at a summer camp in 2018. That year taught me that I have a great amount of love for teaching because I love watching my kids get excited when they succeed and accomplish many things. I have such a passion to help students who may struggle. However, I don't treat or view them as strugglers. I treat and view them as intelligent who just need to some extra help. I am an avid sports fan, lover of disney movies, and a big "foodie!" I spent 1 1/2 years as a high school student teaching one-on-one with students so I do have experience with teaching students in that environment. I love to make my classroom whether it is in-person or virtual a fun, inviting, and warm atmosphere. I am so excited to teach you and help you succeed in your academic needs!

I use a traditional method where I teach, explain, and show. Then, I have my students help me walk through the steps of the concepts. Then, my students try it by themselves. I make sure to stay positive and encouraging because I want to see my students succeed while maintaining a pace that matches their learning needs and levels. My typical lesson plan is usually in this order: a review of previous concept(s), explanation new concept, review of new concept, practice of new concept, and review of new concept. I am always willing to adjust and personalize my lesson plan according to my students' needs. My lessons are mainly for students in 3rd-12th grade, but I am always willing to tutor any college students enrolled in freshman level english grammar and composition classes.
