About Fiona

As a child of two public school teachers and a degree-holder in international relations with an emphasis on Spanish, Arabic, and refugees, I absolutely love helping students to achieve their full potential, especially students who face unique challenges in specific subjects. I have over 10 years of experience in private and group tutoring. As a driven individual, I myself succeeded in school by making learning fun and applying creative ways to master material. I scored a 1520 on SATs, got straight A's my entire schooling, and earned numerous scholarships (more than my tuition and board costs, actually :P) for my bachelor's degree which only took me 2 years to complete. I can help your child also achieve in a way that is sustainable, enjoyable, and natural for them. Fun is the most important part of learning! I want to prepare your student for lasting success and a love for learning even beyond our sessions. Through hard work, I advanced 4 years ahead in mathematics and have extensive experience in all AP subjects. I'm also a registered yoga teacher that does private lessons and can help blend movement, learning, and understanding the importance of study-life balance, especially for children and teenagers. I have a very diverse tutoring background in both group and private settings with glowing reviews and practical results.

Greetings!

A typical lesson with me includes a brief review of the previous lesson to ensure mastery and integration, covering the new material in fun and interactive ways, and review of test results and areas of improvement. I always include getting feedback from you and your child so that we can make the lessons fun, engaging, and productive!
