About Nicolás

I am a full-time Music teacher at a secondary school in London, as well as a musician who has played in several bands of different music styles, collaborated with artists from the alternative pop and rock scene and arranged music for different artists and content creators.
My passion for music comes from a very early age. I started playing and studying piano from the age of five, and took it as more than a hobby throughout the following years, eventually achieving a BA (Hons) degree from the Academy of Contemporary Music in the UK.
My passion for teaching, and especially tutoring, comes from the age of 18. It all started from helping family friends and realising that it gave me immense joy to help out others meet their targets and improve with time. I became very good at it, so I kept on doing it for years. That is the main reason I decided to become a teacher, because there is nothing more satisfying for me than supporting others achieve what they once couldn't!

About the lesson

I am an experienced private tutor who has been teaching 1 to 1 lessons for over 8 years.
My subject knowledge, capacity to understand every individual's needs and a friendly, reliable and effective approach to teaching piano have helped me to support dozens of students throughout my career as a private tutor.
I can easily adapt to your starting skills and create tailored plans for your short-term and long-term aspirations.
Furthermore, you will experience an improvement in your music theory knowledge, like discovering fundamental patterns across the keys, harmony, tonality and melody, and together we will explore different dynamics, sounds and textures. Doesn't that sound exciting?
