Lessons will be divided into two main subjects, tailored to align with your chosen path. Crossovers can, of course, be accommodated and discussed during our initial free session. In this session, we can get to know each other and develop a personalised lesson plan that works for you!
1. Creative Music Production
Are you a musician with a head full of song ideas? Eager to master the fundamentals of creative music production? Learn how to transform your concepts into polished productions, just like the ones you hear on the radio.
Lessons will take you through creating a basic recording setup, understanding the tools at your disposal to enhance your performances, mastering MIDI instruments, applying creative signal processing, and get you producing your own high quality own demos.
We will also cover some basic theoretical knowledge of sound to support the practical approaches outlined above. Don't worry, musicians—this is only a very small part of the subject!
2. Technical Sound Engineering
Do you ever wonder why records sound the way they do and how to recreate the sounds of your favourite songs? Master the fundamentals of sound engineering and record your friend's band's latest song and mix it into their next hit!
Lessons will guide you through a comprehensive understanding of your Digital Audio Workstation (DAW), in-depth recording practices and techniques, advanced mixing methods, and sound technology theory.
We will also touch on some basic music theory to aid in the understanding of the technical approaches outlined above. Don't worry, technicians—this is only a small part of the subject!
Lessons are typically 1 hour long and focused on beginners of all ages.
