About Haven
Just like you I was once a student. I had basic exposure to Spanish but it never stuck. It wasn't until I started to make friends online around the world that I realized the only way to truly learn is to speak! After around 3 months of speaking for 6+ hours a day I became conversational in Portuguese. After 10 months, I spoke fluently--yes, that includes reading and writing. I carried those same full immersion methods to Spanish. After a year I was fluent in Spanish, I tested into a Native Speakers college course and aced it! After that my journey brought me to the Spanish Translation and Interpretation Program where I was trained in consecutive and simultaneous interpretation, as well as sight translation. As a graduated interpreter, I look forward to inspiring other individuals to chase their dreams, because if someone would have told me 4 years ago I'd be learning a 4th language by now, I wouldn't believe them!
