About Sajid
I am a Master’s graduate in Economics and Finance with a strong academic background in mathematics and physics.
I specialise in secondary school, GCSE, A-Level maths as well as GCSE and A-Level physics
My main goals are helping students build confidence, improve exam technique and achieve higher grades. I focus on clear explanations and structured practice, ensuring students understand concepts rather than memorising methods. My lessons are structured, engaging and tailored to secondary school, GCSE and A Level maths and physics.
Each lesson begins with a short diagnostic check to identify strengths and gaps. I then teach the core concept step by step, breaking down methods into simple, logical stages. I focus heavily on exam technique because at GCSE and A Level, knowing how to approach questions is just as important as knowing the content. We work through past paper questions together, starting with guided examples before moving to independent practice under timed conditions.
I prioritise understanding and will always tailor my speed and teaching style to what suits my student. Lessons are interactive and supportive. Students are encouraged to ask questions and explain their thinking, which strengthens retention. I also provide structured homework and feedback after each session, tracking progress against exam board specifications.
My goal is not only to improve grades, but to build confidence and independence so students feel in control of their ability.
