About Aishat
Since I started tutoring during the lockdown, I've developed a passion for working with young people. I've tutored a range of people with different backgrounds and needs and also mentored with Into University. I am really eager to support young people to help them achieve their full potential. I think about myself as a calm, patient and friendly person. I absolutely love psychology and maths and often engage in subject related activities such as reading articles, solving puzzles in my spare time. I look forward to meeting new students and helping them believe in their own ability.

I take a student-centred approach to teaching. I usually have a verbal and written assessment in the first lesson/ meeting to assess what the student weaknesses are and where they need the most help. After that, I will make a scheme of work based on these assessment with the student and work through it, making adjustments as needed. I have previous success with this method and have helped several students improve their confidence and their skills - most being able to improve two grade levels after a year of lessons. Right now, I'm looking to tutor year 11 maths - doing some intense last minute courses to ensure success for GCSEs and the same for year 13 Psychology. However, I am open to other year groups from year 7 - 13. Furthermore, I have experience working with SEND children and people with learning difficulties after spending a year as an SEN teaching assistant so would be open to SEN tutoring as well.
