About the lesson

As a tutor, I love to begin the lesson with a question in the topic that the student and I can approach from several angles. After that, I will go over the course material in depth, which makes subsequently reattacking the introductory question a breeze. With this approach, the relevance and application of the subject matter is made obvious and interesting. I love a conversational session, allowing students to interrupt with questions at any point, and asking questions to them to gauge their understanding as the lesson progresses. I strongly believe that being able to learn is a skill, and as a tutor, I encourage students to find their own expertise by suggesting resources to explore in their free time. I teach high school chemistry, biology, physics, mathematics and English. I also prepare students for the ACT and SAT.
