About the lesson

My name is Rachel, I am 29 years old and have grown up in London, the United Kingdom.

I am a home based freelance online English language teacher.

I have teaching experience in primary schools, secondary schools and college, experience with children, teenagers and adult students and online one to one and school lessons English teaching experience to students in France, China, Japan and South Korea.

I graduated from the University of East London in BA (Hons) Media and Communication (2:1) & Post Graduate Certificate in Education (Pass).

I can teach English at any level, from beginner to expert.

I am deeply passionate about our world. I have travelled France, Italy, Germany and the United States of America.

Music enthusiast - From a very early age, and throughout my whole life, I have manifested a profound feeling and interest for music. I have an extensive knowledge of all things music, from the well-known to the obscure. There isn’t a day that goes by where music doesn’t play a part in my life in some shape or form. I collect and love vinyl, something that perhaps was instilled by my dad. As a hobby I write lyrics and release these songs independently. All lyrics I have written myself. You’ll often find and see me dancing like no one is watching and singing like no one is listening to local bands and at concerts and festivals.

I have a natural British accent and my voice is very easy to understand.

- Academic/General (English for university students & general people) Many university students need to improve their listening and speaking skills to help them prepare to move them into work. My lessons will give them the skills and confidence that they need.
- TOEIC/TOEFL/IELTS practice (Exam preparation) I can help students who are studying for English in these tests and improve their scores. I can help them to improve their listening, speaking, writing and grammar skills.
- Business English (Teaching business people how to communicate effectively) Many foreign business people find it difficult to communicate in English. I can help them to learn appropriate business language and etiquette.
- Children English (Expand children's vocabulary and range of expressions) I can help children to build their vocabulary and develop good sentence structure by reading books with them, practising and correcting pronunciation.

All of my online classes are provided on Skype to students in different time zones. Each lesson is 30 or 60 minutes long.

My first lesson is 15 minutes to all my new students and its free.
