About Emily
I was considered a mature student when starting my BA Social Work degree, at age 30. I had previously studied 2 years of a BSc Nursing (Adult) degree before having to leave due to having my two children. During this academic break of 8 years I continued to work within health and social care, working within management of care agencies, young people, offending, addictions, mental health, and then returned to university to finalise my education. I have a strong work background but also the 1:1 degree and my current post-qualification experience

I can offer support and guidance on legislation, policies, daily practice, reflective skills, using the social work portfolio, the ASYE programme, support with gaining confidence whilst studying or out on placement, preparation for job interviews, assignment writing guidance among many other things.
