About Kaitlyn

I have a bachelor's degree in International Studies with a focus in Latin America and Spanish. I have been studying the language for over 6 years, and have endured hardships and roadblocks that I have surpassed to get the level of proficiency I am today. It is my passion to teach Spanish to others who are eager to learn, because I understand how mind-boggling it can be to grasp another language when your brain is already used to speaking only one. I am here for you and willing to accommodate your needs!

About the lesson

Hello! I am a native English speaker who grew up around many amazing people who happened to speak Spanish. As I grew up feeling left out, I took it upon myself to learn the beautiful language. It takes more than a textbook and a few Duolingo lessons to become conversational.
With this being said, I can help you learn Spanish and explain how to utilize English to help you learn Spanish/ understand why things such as grammar, structure, and accents are the way that they are. I went through these troubles myself!
I will design lesson plans specific to your needs by understanding your current level of proficiency as well as your personal goals during this language-learning process. Lessons will consist of practicing reading, writing, comprehending, and speaking Spanish.
