I have about seven years total of both private tutoring and working at a tutoring center. I am reliable, patient, kind, and compassionate. I have been succeeded in helping my students to reach their goals. I try to keep the lessons interesting by adding different elements to lesson plans and customizing it to the needs of each student.

Hello my name is Miriam! I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Neurobiology, and a minor
in Psychology. I think what makes a lasting impression as a tutor is
always engaging and being comprehensible when teaching the material to the student. I always try to go the extra mile and continue to clarify any material or provide additional help when needed. I want my students to have a pleasant experience learning the material so I provide fun and creative lesson plans and cater to what works for each individual person. Afterwards I always ensure time for students to practice the material on their own. Again, I adjust lesson plans based on the needs of each individual student.
I have over five years of tutoring experience in a tutoring center called Kumon where I taught up to precalculus in math and 12th grade language arts. Additionally, I’ve tutored privately for over 6 years for student of all ages. I want to benefit the students I work with as much as possible, therefore welcome any resources or suggestions students or parents can provide.
