About Owen

I use my language skills in my everyday life. I was able to pick up both Spanish and Portuguese at a young age and have seen what it can do in one's life. It opens up job opportunities, relationships, as well as the opportunity to help others. I have tutored Spanish to hundreds of students and want to continue to meet you at your level and help reach your goals.

About the lesson

I help tutor people from all different backgrounds: Children, adults, people who are looking to move, or people who are simply learning to add this skill to their repertoire. I believe the most efficient methodology when tutoring Spanish is Communicative Language Teaching (CLT). I believe this is the best approach as not only do my students learn the language, but they also are forced to use it in situations they would in real life (Socio- Linguistics). I believe it is also important to connect with the student on a personal level. My background in psychology allows me to learn more about the student to help meet their goals.
