About Soubhagya

Hi! I’m Mr. Panda, a passionate and experienced Math educator with a Master’s degree in Statistics and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. Over the past several years, I’ve taught students ranging from middle school to college — including AP Calculus AB, Algebra I & II, Geometry, Precalculus, and Statistics. I currently teach high school mathematics at a private Christian school in Maryland and have previously worked as a Teaching Assistant and Adjunct Faculty at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), as well as a Math Tutor at Sylvan Learning. I believe that every student can be confident in math once they understand the why behind the steps — not just the formulas. My sessions focus on breaking down complex concepts into simple, visual, and logical steps so students truly get it and start to enjoy learning math. About the lesson

I'm eager to help students unlock their full potential through personalized tutoring. With a graduate degree and four years of experience, I specialize in Math, Science, and Test Preparation for middle school through college-level students. I am a certified teacher and possess experience with Individualized Education Programs (IEP) and student accommodation plans (504).

My approach focuses on building confidence and fostering a love for learning, creating an engaging and supportive environment. I adapt my teaching to each student's unique learning style, actively listening and varying my strategies with visual aids, hands-on activities, and discussions. I also connect challenging topics to real-world examples and celebrate small successes. Communication is essential, and I provide regular updates to parents. Witnessing a student's "aha!" moment is the most rewarding part of tutoring. I have a car and am comfortable tutoring at various locations.
