About Rob
I have been playing music for the majority of my life. I began playing bass professionally at a young age (13) and eventually received my bachelor's degree from University of Southern California in Popular Music Performance. After an internship at Universal Music Publishing Group's recording studio I fell in love with the process of making records. I began to record local bands and artists and eventually produced releases for record labels such as Warner and Tonequake records. I have produced, recorded, and/or mixed over 180 released songs and participated in thousands of recording sessions in some of the country's top recording facilities such as East West, The Village, Blackbird, etc. I have also learned from and worked with some amazing producers, engineers, and songwriters such as Andrew Scheps (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Adele), Brian Lee (Blackpink, Post Malone), and Mike Sapone (Taking Back Sunday, Brand New). I recently decided to further my education by pursuing a Masters in Music Production from Berklee College of Music.

I like to cater the lessons to the needs and skill level of the student. Music production can be a somewhat broad topic that involves a lot of skills combined into one. For those who are new to making music, I like to go through an introduction to the "order of operations" involved in completing a record, basics of a digital audio workstation (DAW), and an introduction to song structure and arrangement. For those who are more intermediate or advanced, we can dive into specific elements of music production such as mixing, editing, arrangement, or any other concept in greater detail. Most importantly music production is fun. My goal is to always make sure we are feeding that creative and playful energy, even when we are diving into the technical aspects of music production.
