About Harrison
Receiving a first in history is my proudest achievement so far. Whilst I was faced with numerous challenges during my degree, I felt two things in particular allowed me to succeed: discipline and a genuine passion for my subject. Discipline was crucial for staying organised and ensuring adequate preparation for essays and exams. My passion for history gave me the urge to read beyond my classes which in turn gave me the confidence to make original arguments. I teach students with discipline and passion and encourage students to emulate this approach to learning.

The humanities and social sciences are fundamentally creative subjects; students are awarded for originality, particularly at A-level and university level. I hope to play to the strengths of my students, giving them confidence to formulate original arguments and the tools to articulate them clearly.
