About Carolyn
I graduated from Hobart and William Smith with a double major in Spanish and Hispanic Studies and Education. I completed the Teacher Education Program to be certified in Secondary Spanish education. Throughout the four years of college I spent time in various local middle and high schools assisting in classes and teaching Spanish. For my student teaching, I completed a full semester of planning, teaching and grading for eighth grade Spanish at a school near my college. In order to improve my own Spanish, I studied abroad in both Madrid and Sevilla Spain. I am currently working in Spain teaching English and using my Spanish skills to communicate daily.

I have experience with secondary language instruction. I like to get to know the students I work with to include their interests in the lessons. Many of my lessons include games or activities where students need to move and/or be creative. I prepare my lessons to include various aspects of Spanish/English language practice such as listening, speaking, reading and writing. I am very enthusiastic about language and I hope to share this with the students.
