I was extremely lucky to maintain perfect pitch throughout my life, so I’m able to compare musical examples and songs to each other that use similar concepts to help reinforce students’ aural skills. My background in performance also helps me to play examples back to students and explain how they can play the same examples as well.

I love and understand music at a deep level, and enjoy passing my knowledge on to others! I can teach any level of student about the theory behind music, from beginner to expert. I’m all about teaching in a very individualized manner with each student because everybody learns differently and is more receptive to different methods of instruction.
