About Alicia

When I was in school, I often struggled because many teachers used methods that didn’t suit my learning style. As a visual learner, I found it challenging to keep up until I worked with a tutor who helped me discover different ways of learning that really worked for me. Since then, I’ve been fascinated by how people learn best and passionate about helping students find what works for them. I want to support other students who might be struggling like I once did, so they can build confidence and reach their full potential.

About the lesson

I understand there are many different types of teaching styles, and I’m ready to identify the best approach for each student to learn as effectively as possible. I aim to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence in the subject. A typical lesson lasts around 1–2 hours, depending on the student’s needs and goals. I have experience tutoring Maths and Engineering related topics and am currently a PhD student in Biomedical Engineering, which allows me to share up-to-date knowledge and practical study tips. My lessons are suitable for high school students, undergraduates, or whoever may need to expand their knowledge in the engineering industry, whether they want to improve their grades, prepare for exams, or simply gain a deeper understanding of the topic.
