About Kiran
I am a PhD Physics student at Cardiff University and am currently completing my MSc prerequisite. I have also achieved a Masters in Mechanical engineering (MEng) at the University of Lancaster.
I love the fields of Physics and Engineering and am extremely passionate about mathematical problems. Moreover, I have a great passion for literature and creative endeavours, with a large part of my tutoring experience being in English, as well as being creatively inclined myself.
With this wide expertise, I feel myself adequately equipped to tutor a variety of subjects to a high level of quality. I have experience tutoring younger relatives and those of close friends in the past as well as time spent on in a professional background polishing my skills and passing on knowledge.

I believe in positive reinforcement and repetitive action in most cases. I find that this approach allows most students to refine their technique and play to their strengths. In the instances that students struggle with this approach, I have alternative methods which I have used for myself in the past; being a former student who struggled with the aforementioned methods. This includes techniques such as memorisation and alternative approaches to problem solving. Regardless of the student, I feel i have an adequate skillset to help them to improve.
I like to start lesson sets with a testing method in the first lesson, such as going over a past paper or choosing questions in a topic they would like to cover in particular. I like to teach students slightly more than necessary for their level such that their depth of understanding is deep enough that the the subject topic is made easier in comparison. I do ensure that the topic is never too challenging for the student, however, and i cater my methods for each student.
I think it is crucial that each student understand the basics to such a high extent that learning more complex topics is easier as a result. Thus, extended time in spent covering the basics is a large part of my teaching method.
In conclusion, I am a very flexible tutor who will cater his methods to each individual student while maintaining a template that is easy to follow.
