About Daniel

As a BA Popular Music Performance graduate, I have dedicated the last three years honing my skills in music, specialising on the guitar. With a deep understanding of music theory and extensive performance experience, I have had the privilege of playing as the lead guitarist in the Leeds-based indie band The Meranos.

I've had the opportunity to perform at iconic venues in Leeds such as The Wardrobe, The Belgrave Music Hall and Canteen, Oporto, and The Bruddenell, to name a few. As a practising musician, I believe it is important to be a part of the music industry in order to teach an instrument and I am continuously working on new projects to stay relevant within the industry. Currently, I am in the stage of releasing an album with my band The Meranos and enthusiastic to see where this passion takes me next.

I began my guitar journey at 12, developing my passion through 1-1 lessons. Over the years, my passion for the instrument has only grown and I am eager to share the knowledge I have acquired with other musicians who are on the same journey I have taken.

As a songwriter and recording artist, I am experienced in writing and producing high-quality songs and I am passionate about helping my students develop their own style and musical personality.

About the lesson

I’m a graduate BA Popular Music Performance student, specialising in guitar across a variety of genres including Indie, Rock, Pop, Blues, Soul/Funk, and Jazz.

With over a decade of instrument experience, I offer engaging, personalised lessons for beginners up to grade 6, blending practical techniques with genre-specific theory to help students build strong foundations, explore their style, and stay inspired.

Whether you’re just starting out or refining your skills, lessons are fun, dynamic, and centred around your musical interests and goals.
