About Jim
I am a dual citizen of both Canada and the United States, and I relocated to New Mexico to attend the University of New Mexico in 2021. I have a high school-age son and a wife of 7 years. I have been working toward teaching for the past 10 years, and I am dedicated to learning and sharing my knowledge. I will not meet in person with anyone under the legal age of consent (18 years old) without a parent or guardian present for the entire meeting.

I believe in an all-inclusive educational experience, where all learners are welcome and all questions are important. There are no silly questions when learning something for the first time, or if you're trying to grasp a difficult concept. I have been educated in both Canada and the United States, earning a degree in Carpentry from the College of the North Atlantic and my Bachelor's degree in History, and a minor in Secondary Education. I look forward to working with you to overcome any obstacle you may be facing. I like to first establish the issue and work out a plan of action to overcome the issue. You will not need to figure it out for yourself, I will work with you. These lessons would be for 5th-grade students to 12th-grade students, in social studies and English. My lessons will be virtual or in person at a location agreed upon by me and the parent/guardian if the student is under 18 years old.
