About Shalei

My name is Shalei L’Heureux and I’m a Music Theory tutor living in Southern California. I started piano lessons at the age of 4 and began vocal lessons at the age of 7. It’s easy to say that music was my first love and the importance of theory was always emphasized! Music Theory does so much more than just teach you how to read music, but is a great tool for training your brain! Fun fact: I read music before I read words!

About the lesson

- I meet students where they are in their music theory journey and we progress together to achieve learning goals
- Practice makes perfect!
- Placed out of music theory course work in college because of prior knowledge and previous state theory testing
- Bachelor of Arts in Music and Theatre from Pepperdine University
- 25+ years of classical piano training
- 5+ years of piano and voice teaching and music theory tutoring
