About Lucy
I'm a recent graduate from UCL where I studied Philosophy and History of Art. I undertook my high school education in both Zurich and Sydney. I took Advanced English, Biology, French Continuers, German Continuers, Visual Art and Advanced Mathematics as part of the NSW Higher School certificate and achieved an Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) of 99.15, calculated as a percentile.
I've always enjoyed teaching roles and have tutored primary and high school students since 2019. I also worked as a seminar presenter for Elevate Education for which I traveled to schools across the Greater London area to deliver highly engaging study skills presentations. Furthermore, during the first lockdown I was also involved in the writing and delivery of student leadership workshops.
I love helping students foster a passion for the subjects they study and place a distinct emphasis on building confidence by working on a sustainable routine and teaching exam techniques!

I will focus on easy to remember ways of solving mathematical problems that can be used as building blocks as content becomes more complex. I also emphasise exam techniques and in doing so help foster an enjoyment for the subject! I aim to help students improve the care and precision with which they attempt questions.
