About Stephen
In high school, I solved a challenging mathematical problem that earned me a gift from one of my teachers. I was also passionate about geography and knew almost all the countries and capitals in the world. These experiences inspired me to become a tutor and engineer. My interest in engineering was sparked by the complex image of an offshore rig, which I found intriguing. I delved into the different engineering disciplines involved in the structure's design, and I was particularly drawn to the role of a Materials and Corrosion Engineer. This inspired me to pursue a bachelor's degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering. After completing my undergraduate degree, I landed a role as a metallurgical engineer in a materials testing laboratory. This experience, along with others, has helped shape me into an exceptional optional tutor in several areas beyond academics. Currently, I am a graduate student in the Civil Engineering Department at the University of Toronto, which has provided me with valuable insights into becoming a master tutor. Outside of my academic pursuits, I enjoy volunteering and playing the saxophone.
