About James
I have an atmospheric science undergraduate degree, which means I had to take Calculus I, II, and III, as well as Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, and Partial Differential Equations. I am in the midst of a graduate degree where I am taking Fluid Dynamics and Thermal Physics classes which directly apply high level mathematics to the weather field. I can teach to any level though. I was a student tutor for my degree while an undergraduate and volunteered at the math tutoring center. I understand math is very difficult to understand and can take my time explaining each and every step so that the students understand it.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is fairly simple. I introduce a topic that the student might be struggling with and work backwards from the answer itself through each step of the process how to get there and then forwards through a specific example problem. Then I will move to more specific examples, again explaining each step before then having them try to go through the steps themselves and having them verbally explain it. Math is all about understanding concepts so through this method, they don't just know that the answer is right or wrong, but they know how to approach the problem itself.
