About Isabella
I am a student of the LETRAS-Portuguese/German course at the Federal University of Pelotas. I have a great interest in foreign languages, having studied English on my own from an early age. Then came the appreciation for the standard German language and its dialects, for coming from a family of German origin and having lived in a Germanic community in Brazil. I am also interested in German culture and literature, and in particular in the general history of Europe. So, I find it extremely important to learn both a language, as well as the culture that surrounds it. in different contexts (formal and informal) and taking into account not only its grammatical aspects, but its use as a means of expression.

I taught Portuguese classes for high school focusing on the production of essays (in preparation for the Enem in particular), as well as on the production and development of argumentation, including argumentative texts. Argumentation is extremely important when defending or opposing a certain topic, making the writer's opinion clear and objective for the reader. It is also essential to know how to cohesively construct and support your arguments in an argumentative text. Thus, grammatical topics will be addressed according to the evolution of the topic and the student's needs, as well as their interests, so that everything happens naturally.
As for the Portuguese language classes as a foreign language, the use of the language in everyday situations is prioritized, covering listening, reading, writing and speaking in an integrated way. Divided by themes, the classes will present the grammatical content in a progressive and light way, with a focus on communication. Various original materials in the Portuguese language will also be used so that cultural issues of the language are explored.
