About Sampad
I am a PhD student in a US university studying Computer Science. I am really passionate about sharing the things I learn and also deeply care about improving the Indian education system and helping Indian students learn by curiosity and not by a drive to get grades. I hope I can encourage and instill some desire and curiosity in you through some of the knowledge and perspectives on mathematics, physics and computer science teaching and learning.

If you are motivated by visual learning and want to get a deeper understanding of concepts via geometry and visual thinking, you are very encouraged to join me for a very pleasurable journey into understanding linear algebra, probability, algorithms, machine learning and computational thinking.
If you have questions in the topics like -
Linear Algebra -
What are matrices? Are they just a bunch of numbers in a table? Why is matrix multiplication defined in such a way? How can I understand linear algebra only using highschool geometry like rotations, reflections and projections? What are eigenvalues - do they have any geometrical meaning connecting to our intuition or are they just things we need to calculate to write answers in our exams and homeworks? Can we see the eigenvalues and eigenvectors just by lookind at a 2x2 or 3x3 matrices?
Probability -
How can a computer generate random numbers from uniform distributions. How can we generate a different distribution from uniform distribution?
Machine Learning-
How do neural networks work. Can we see what they are doing using geometry? What is the geometry of backpropagation. How and why do different activations work differently. What can we say about the learning capacity of a neural network from its depth and activation functions. What are the connections of machine learning to physics.
