About Daphne
I am passionate about helping young learners discover the joy of learning and grow with confidence. With experience working with Pre-K and elementary students, I specialize in creating engaging, hands-on lessons that make learning fun and meaningful. I believe every child learns best when lessons are tailored to their interests and abilities, so I use creative approaches like songs, stories, games, and visuals to bring concepts to life. Patience, encouragement, and positivity are at the core of my teaching style, and I strive to build not only academic skills but also curiosity, independence, and a love of learning. Whether supporting early literacy, number sense, or English language development, I enjoy helping children develop the strong foundation they need to succeed in school and beyond.

My tutoring approach for Pre-K and elementary students is play-based, interactive, and tailored to each child’s learning style. I use songs, stories, movement, visuals, and hands-on activities to make lessons engaging while building foundational skills in literacy, math, science, and social-emotional development. A typical session includes a short warm-up or review, an introduction to a new concept with visuals or demonstrations, guided practice through games or activities, independent practice with support, and a reflective wrap-up. What sets me apart is my ability to make learning feel like play while still maintaining structure, encouraging confidence, and fostering curiosity. My lessons are designed for young learners in Pre-K through grade 5, including English Language Learners, and always focus on creating a joyful, supportive, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.
