About Liza
As a PhD student in life sciences with a strong background in math, I’ve come to see how deeply connected these subjects are. I wasn’t always confident in them — but interest and kind teachers changed everything. Now I want to be that kind of guide for others. I especially enjoy explaining complex ideas step by step — like how genes work or why math problems have elegant solutions.

My lessons usually last 1 or 1.5 hours. I use powerpoint presentations as a lesson structure. I usually announce the plan at the beginning of the lesson, and then we study the material from the general to the particular.
As a tutor, I primarily strive to interest the student in the subject, for this I usually give them to read or watch popular science materials on the topic as homework.
