About Paden

Hi, my name is Paden Davis. I am a recent graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology, with a degree in Computer Engineering and a Minor in Robotics. I tutor anything related to Math and Science up to a college level, and can help with ACT prep based on my own tutoring to obtain a 36 four years ago.

I am in Madison this summer with my Fiancée before I will be returning to college for a year long Master's program in Electrical and Computer Engineering. I would love the opportunity to share some of my knowledge and experiences that I have learned these last 8 years with new students in the Madison area!

About the lesson

As a recent student, I have learned a lot about teaching methods that work and do not work for me in the subjects that I have taken. I have found that the best approach to learning is a one on one conversation with a student, where concepts are explained first through example and demonstration, then walked through with the student allowing them to ask questions naturally as the arise in a problem. A typical lesson plan for a single subject would touch on one or two large concepts, but would work to build up a solid foundation and mental image of each concept before moving onto the next.

Lessons would be for students High School to College Bachelor's level or for High School ACT standardized test prep. During my time in High School, I was tutored for the ACT myself and obtained a 36 on the exam my second try. For college level lessons, I would use my own college materials obtained during my classes from my Bachelor's degree. All mathematics courses are available, and physics up to physics 2 E&M. Additional engineering classes are available if I have taken them, so feel free to message and ask if a class is offered.

I will only be in Madison until around August 4th, when I will be returning to the Georgia Institute of Technology for my Master's degree (to finish May 2024). If it is desired to continue tutoring after this point, lessons would move to online only.
