About Adrian

Adrian Hsieh (22) is a graduate of the Columbia–Juilliard Exchange Program, where he studied cello with Zvi Plesser while majoring in Psychology at Columbia University. Adrian has performed at Carnegie Hall and the Lincoln Center and has appeared as a soloist with various orchestras. He has been playing cello for 19 years and has studied with renowned cellists Richard Aaron, Zlatomir Fung, and Steven Pologe.

In addition to his work as a cellist, Adrian did research at Columbia University for Dr. Herbert Terrace, contributing to research on language development and primate cognition. He is also an avid musical theater enthusiast, having performed in productions of West Side Story and Beauty and the Beast, and served as music director for The Spitfire Grill (CSD Theaters, 2019). He also previously studied piano with Dr. Alexandre Dossin.

About the lesson

Cello teacher fluent in English, Spanish, and Chinese with a background in psychology. I provide patient, student-centered lessons tailored to each learner, focusing on healthy practice habits, strong technique, and having fun! My goal is steady, confident progress with clear guidance and individualized support.
