About Jan

I have been passionate about music since I was a child, and it has always been a great source of fulfillment for me. Whether it is playing a musical instrument, singing, or studying music theory, music has always been an important part of my life.

I am a graduate of the Prague Conservatory and I will continue my studies in bassoon performance at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (HAMU).

I have experience teaching the recorder, where I also focused partly on the basics of music theory.

Currently, I perform with the Prague Philharmonia as an academy member, and in the past I have also worked with the Hradec Králové Philharmonic Orchestra.

About the lesson

I adapt each lesson to your knowledge, pace, and individual goals.

I offer preparation for entrance exams to music schools (ZUŠ), conservatories, and universities, as well as tutoring in ongoing school material or lessons for anyone who wants to improve their understanding of music theory.

I explain everything in a simple and clear way. Together, we will practice the material through practical examples so that you truly understand it from every perspective. There is always room for questions during the lessons, and the pace of teaching is adjusted to your needs.

My goal is for you to leave each lesson with confidence that you understand music theory and can use it not only for exams but also in playing a musical instrument or singing.
