About Marina

Hola!
I’m Marina, a qualified secondary school teacher with over five years of experience teaching Spanish in the UK. I am a native Spanish speaker from the North of Spain (the best part of Spain!) with experience teaching Spanish to secondary school students and adults. I have experience teaching and preparing students for AQA GCSE and A Level Spanish examinations, helping with exam technique, speaking, writing, and grammar. I can also teach French up to GCSE level (AQA), and I have a TEFL certificate to teach English as a Foreign Language.
Maybe you need help with GCSEs, A Levels, or speaking practice; maybe you want to feel more confident using Spanish, or you are planning a cheeky trip to Spain and you want to be able to talk to the locals! Whatever your reason, my lessons can be focused on what would be most useful and interesting to you.
My lessons are friendly, relaxed, and practical. I know that speaking another language can feel daunting, especially when you’re worried about making mistakes, so I want to create a comfortable environment where you can practise, ask questions, and build your confidence.

Outside the classroom, I am interested in reading, sports, films and TV shows, travelling, learning new languages, art and history! I’m always open to exploring new topics and learning from my students.

About the lesson

I am a native Spanish speaker who has taught Spanish to secondary school students from KS3 to KS5. I have five years of experience helping students prepare for GCSEs and A-Levels, improve their speaking, reading, writing, and listening skills, and become more confident using Spanish. I also have experience teaching Spanish conversation to adults.
I mostly use the Conti method in my GCSE lessons, and whether you're learning Spanish for school, exams, work, travel, or simply to learn a different language, I can adapt my lessons and make them relaxed and enjoyable. I'm friendly, patient, and approachable.
