About Fiona
My love of reading and written ideas led me to study joint honours History and English at the University of Oxford at undergraduate level. My degree equipped me with a broad range of knowledge and skills across both disciplines. My desire to explore these links further has led me to embark on an MSc in Intellectual History at the University of Edinburgh from September 2021.
I hope to inspire interest and enthusiasm in younger students through helping them to consolidate and improve their skills and knowledge!

I believe that discussion is key to understanding textual concepts, giving students the confidence to use their knowledge to construct strong written responses. Therefore, my sessions are mostly discursive, with the opportunity to take notes throughout. Students then reinforce their knowledge by producing a written response using the material covered during the session.
