About Duy
I am a Software Engineer with five years of professional experience working in robotics, firmware systems, web development, and Artificial Intelligence. My work in engineering has trained me to think logically, solve complex problems efficiently, and apply mathematical concepts to real-world systems (skills that I bring directly into my teaching).
Beyond industry experience, I am also passionate about education. I run an educational YouTube channel, Vật Lý Chill, with over 160,000 subscribers, where I teach Mathematics through clear explanations and engaging animations. Creating content for a large audience has strengthened my ability to explain difficult concepts in simple, intuitive ways.
I also have experience supporting and interviewing students preparing for International Mathematical and Physics Olympiads, which has given me deep insight into advanced problem-solving techniques and high-level academic standards.
As both an engineer and an educator, I combine practical knowledge, academic rigor, and genuine care for my students’ growth. My goal is to help students build confidence, think independently, and achieve excellence not only in exams but also in their future careers.

I believe that true learning comes from understanding, not memorization. In my lessons, I focus on building strong intuition so students can truly grasp concepts in Algebra, Calculus, Physics, and Programming rather than just applying formulas mechanically. I often introduce the historical background of mathematical and scientific ideas to make lessons more engaging and meaningful when students see how concepts were discovered and why they matter, they become naturally curious and motivated.
A typical lesson with me includes concept explanation, guided problem-solving, and practical applications. I adapt my teaching style to each student’s level and goals, whether they are in middle school, high school, or early college. With five years of online teaching experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California, I understand both the academic rigor and the practical applications of these subjects.
Beyond exams, I care deeply about helping students build confidence, logical thinking skills, and lifelong learning habits. My goal is not only to help students succeed in their tests but also to inspire them to think critically and approach challenges with confidence in both academics and life.
