About Moonmaiden
Julie Marin is a multidisciplinary artist with concentrations in Theatre & Stagecraft, Creative Writing, and Photography. She holds a B.A. from the University of the Incarnate Word. She has been a Teaching Artist and Theatre Director for the arts and activism program known as The Teen Arts Puentes Project which existed at the Historic Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center from June 2007 to December 2014. Her work has been featured in local zines such as Esperanza Peace & Justice Center's La Voz's February 2012 Issue, The Arts United Issue 2: Masculinity V.S. Femininity, and St. Sucia's Issue IV: Cuartos Caminos. She is among the founding members of the performing arts troupe, FIRE Collaborative, and has teamed up to produce theatre with local non-profits like Jump-Start Performance Co. and The Texas Organizing Project. As an artist, social and political justice remain among her most prevalent themes. She continues to create for the sake of restoring a sense of reflection and empowerment regarding the human condition.
