About Dolores
I have been sewing for over 30 years on my own. I sold sewing machines for 2 years and taught sewing lessons while working at that business. Worked at a dry cleaners for 7 years as a seamstress. Had my own alterations business. Closing it to go back to graduate school to become a special education teacher. I also have a 4-year degree in Clothing and Textiles from the University of Akron. I currently have a business in Akron called Sewing It Up.

I will start with teaching the basics of sewing. Teaching you about sewing terms, how to thread a sewing machine, read a pattern and lay out a pattern and cut it out. Also teach the basics about embroidery machines and sergers and how they are used for completing your projects. How each machine enhances your projects making what you sew look professional.
