About Emery
I graduated from my undergrad at the university of hartford/hartt school of music and got my Mastees Degree at UNCSA here in North Carolina. I’m currently finishing a performing arts certificate that focuses on audition preparation and rep. I started off playing the cello and got inspired to switch to the bass after hearing Edgar Meyer play Bach. I enjoy playing less common bass solos and chamber music as it brings out more character from the bass and myself. I also played tuba for 6 years and sing in the church choir on occasion.

In my lessons I’ll help you learn basic bass technique as well as posture. If you have trouble reading clefs or music I can help you with that too. I will have you look at etudes, solos, orchestra music, and any music you want to look at. You will also be able to watch me play in professional orchestras for free and maybe attend rehearsals to see what a professional orchestra feels like.
