I graduated magna cum laude from Grand Valley State University with a BA in Classical Civilizations and a minor in History. While at GVSU I received the Excellence in a Discipline Award and was chosen to work on a project with the head of the department.

My goal as a tutor is to help my students set and achieve goals. I like to work with each student individually to establish a set of goals that they hope to achieve and what my role should be in that process.
My lessons are generated around my student needs and interests as established in our first meeting.
I’m passionate about entry language level acquisition and would prefer to tutor in the entry to intermediate range. I believe that reading ancient languages can be fun at all levels!
Classical Civ/Myth/History lessons would follow either a syllabus or be based on expressed interests.
Reading lessons would be spent reading texts and focusing on an understanding of both grammar and the text itself.
